A number of different races and ethnicities can be found on the campus of Saint Joseph’s University. Many people do not realize how many different countries are represented here at SJU. Unfortunately, I am one of those people. When I look around I always see people who look and dress like me. I am really not sure if it is because I’m not really looking, or I just do not notice. This week is diversity week. In class we were asked to write a story on one of the diversity events offered on campus. I am going to Wake up call Part Two. Honestly, to me it looks like I need a wake up call. Also, I believe that it will be very interesting because it will feature a panel of students speaking about the racial climate at SJU. It will be refreshing to hear what other people have to say about our diverse student body.
